South Florida’s Signature Palms & Trees — Sourced and Installed
The right palm or tree transforms a property the day it goes in the ground. From our partner farm, we hand-select the specimens South Florida is known for — then deliver and install them with the equipment and technique that decide whether a transplanted tree thrives. Here is what we source and install most.
Canary Island Date Palms
The Canary Island Date Palm is the crown jewel of estate landscaping — massive sculptural trunk, the iconic pineapple cut, and instant grandeur wherever it’s set.
We hand-select straight, healthy trunks at our partner farm and install them at the right depth with proper staking — the factors that decide how well a specimen this size establishes.
Ideal in groupings of three or five for a layered, established look on day one.
Royal & Coconut Palms
Royal and Coconut Palms are the signature statement of South Florida — towering Royals lining the drive, Coconuts leaning over the pool deck. Instantly recognizable, immediately transformative.
Field-grown Royals are heavy — proper installation takes real equipment, and that is exactly what our crew brings. We set them plumb, stake them right, and they never look transplanted.
Sourced mature from our partner farm, so you get the landmark look immediately — not in ten years.

What makes Tree Maid different from other tree installation companies?
Two things most companies can’t offer: direct access to a partner tree farm for mature, hand-selected palms and trees, and the equipment and crew to install them right — from compact loaders for tight lots to proper root-ball handling for large specimens. Most landscapers buy retail stock and plant small. We select at the farm, deliver, and install established trees that transform a property immediately.
How much does tree and palm installation cost in Palm Beach County?
Installation cost depends mostly on the tree itself and access to the planting site. As a guide: smaller palms and ornamental trees typically run $250–$800 installed; established shade trees $1,000–$4,000; and specimen palms — Royals, Canary Island Dates, Medjools — can range $1,500–$8,000+ depending on height and species. Multi-tree landscape installs are quoted as a package. Every project starts with a free on-site consultation — call (561) 246-3326.
Is Tree Maid licensed and insured for tree installation in Florida?
Yes. Tree Maid is fully licensed and insured throughout Palm Beach County and South Florida, carrying general liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage. That matters for installation as much as removal — setting a multi-ton specimen palm involves heavy equipment on your property, and you should never let an uninsured crew do it.
Do I need a permit or HOA approval to plant a tree in Palm Beach County?
Planting on private residential property generally doesn’t require a city permit — but placement rules do apply near utilities, easements, sidewalks, and property lines, and most HOA communities require architectural approval before planting. We know the right-tree-right-place rules across Palm Beach County and will flag anything your city or HOA needs before we plant.
What palm species can you source and install?
All the South Florida signatures: Royal Palms, Coconut Palms, Canary Island Date Palms, Medjool and Sylvester Dates, Foxtails, Sabals, and Queen Palms — plus shade and ornamental trees like Live Oak, Mahogany, and Gumbo Limbo. Because we select from our partner farm rather than retail stock, you get established, field-grown specimens that are hand-picked for your project.
Do you handle delivery, planting, and cleanup?
Start to finish. We source the tree, handle transport, set it with the right equipment, plant at correct depth with proper backfill and staking, mulch the base, and haul away every scrap of debris. You get planting-site guidance on watering and establishment care before we leave — one crew, one company, no coordinating between a nursery, a delivery service, and a landscaper.
When is the best time of year to plant trees and palms in South Florida?
In South Florida, palms and trees can be planted nearly year-round thanks to the climate. The rainy season (May through October) gives new plantings the easiest establishment, while dry-season installs simply need a consistent watering plan — which we set up for you. For large canopy trees, we schedule around active storm windows so a new planting isn’t facing hurricane-force winds before its roots take hold.
How large a tree or palm can you install?
Larger than most people expect. With the right equipment, field-grown specimen palms well over 20 feet and established shade trees with substantial root balls can be transplanted successfully. The practical limits are access — gate widths, overhead lines, ground conditions — and root-ball handling, which is exactly what our equipment and crew are set up for. If you can picture it in the yard, it’s worth a site visit to price it.
Can you replace a tree that was removed with a new one?
Yes — removal-to-replacement is one of our most common projects, and some Palm Beach County permits actually require mitigation planting after a removal. We grind the old stump below grade, prep the site, and install the replacement in one coordinated job. Losing a mature shade tree or signature palm doesn’t have to mean starting from a sapling — we can source an established replacement from our partner farm.
